This has helped to disseminate information, ideas and news through a variety of platforms, which has been essential for the education of the population and the promotion of democracy and social development.

Now, media, technology, and misinformation are closely linked as modern means of communication, such as smartphones, social media, and websites, have allowed people to quickly share information. This speed has allowed misinformation to spread more quickly, as people can share false news
without confirming its veracity.

Technology has also contributed to misinformation, as online algorithms can help false information spread more quickly. This means that disinformation can be spread more effectively and reach a wider  audience. Therefore, it is important that people find out about the source of any information before sharing it, to ensure that the information is accurate and truthful.
