iOS 17: these are the iPhones that will not have access to Apple's new operating system

The update is expected to be available to all users in mid-September As has been the case for years, Apple will release iOS 17, its new iPhone operating system, in early fall. Specifically, it should be available to all users of the apple firm in mid-September. Coinciding, more or less, with the launch of the more than predictable iPhone 15. Obviously, not all the phones that Apple has launched during its history will be compatible with this version of the operating system, which, among other improvements, will allow users greater personalization of your contacts or the on-screen transcription of calls. The first models have been out for years. Now, if your 'smartphone' has been on the market for approximately a little over six years, you will not be able to update it to the latest version. The phones that we know will not be compatible with iOS 17 were released in 2017, and they hit stores with iOS 11 as the operating system. These are the iPhone 8, 8 Plus and iPhone X.

Leaving the previous devices out of the list. The list with the terminals that will be able to go from iOS 16 to iOS 17 in September. At least, unless the user is among the beta testers, which starts in July, they are the following:

What if I can't update my iPhone?

The fact that an iPhone does not have access to the new Apple operating system does not mean that it will not be able to continue using the applications installed on the mobile. The device will also continue to function normally, the only drawback is that the owner will not be able to use the new features that come with iOS 17. Over the years, however, this can change. Since the applications, with the successive updates, are no longer compatible with the older terminals that are not up to date with the current operating system.
